Rules

0) Every Sunday, at midnight (GMT+1, Italy), a new theme will be announced in the home page. Needless to say, try submitting pictures that have something to do with this theme.

1) New submissions are assigned an initial score of 14400 points minus the number of 10 minute periods since the weekly theme started (see note 1).
2) When an image is voted, 30 points are added to its score (see note 2).
3) When an imaged gets clicked, 1 point is added to its score (See note 3).
4) Every day, the score of all submitted images is decremented by 144 points (1 point every 10 minutes).
5) If the score of an image goes down to 0, it is removed from the challenge (see note 4).

6) At the end of the week (saturday at 23:59 - GMT+1, Italy) the entry with more points will be awarded 1000 more points. The runner up 500 points and so on until there are images in line or the prize can be halved again.

7) At any time, the entries with more points will stay on top of the right column in the home page and the top three will be featured on web page AndTheWinnerIs.Me.

8) Please, don't submit page URLs and images portraying racial, violent and offensive content.
9) No explicitly sexual material either!!! Artful nudes may be OK, as long as they are not explicit.
10) In other words: don't submit anything that would be illegal or, in the least, unsuitable for minors!

10) Only submit pages and images for which you own the copyright and for which you have all the necessary permissions and releases with respect to people and property they portray.

11) No Registration necessary.

Note 1: In this way it doesn't make any difference submitting early or late during the week.
Note 2: At most one vote per IP per image every 6 hours.
Note 3: You can always click an image to see the underlying blog post, but only one point will be accounted per hour from the same user.
Note 4: 14400 / 144 = at least 100 days your image will last in the contest if never voted or clicked.

Ownership of images and web-pages

Perlinco shows images by linking their original URLs. Perlinco does not download images other than for the purpose of determining their size. In other words, Perlinco does not store images in its databases.

All rights to images and web-pages remain to their original owners and, by submitting images and URLs to Perlinco, you are solely giving Perlinco the right to show them for the purpose of the contest.

Privacy

Perlinco does not collect any personal data about you, except for automatically tracking certain information which may include the URL that you just came from, which URL you next go to, what browser you are using and your IP address. Perlinco does not use cookies.

On many pages Perlinco shows ads coming from Google. Note that Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our web sties. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our web sites and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policyy.

Minors

Perlinco does not purposely show material unsuitalble for minors (see rules 8, 9 and 10 above), although the images and links shown in Perlinco are anonimously submitted by its users without Perlinco's supervision.

Being Perlinco a spare-time hobby, it cannot be supervised 24 hours a day, therefore Perlinco has no real time control of what users submit and therefore will be shown on Perlinco's pages.

In any case, Perlinco cannot control the access by minors to its resources, hence the use of Perlinco by minors must be supervised by their legal tutors who shall bear the full responsibility of any use and abuse of the service.

Availability

Perlinco cannot assure a continuos and uninterrupted service since it depends on a lot of factors outside it's control.

Trademarks and other properties

All trademarks, trade names, services marks and logos eventually referenced by Perlinco belong to their respective owners.
